A new funding pathway for the Pacific Disability community in Tāmaki Makaurau and Te Tai Tokerau.

At today's Global Pacific Solutions conference, Le Va's Ben Tameifuna (Senior Manager, Disability and Public Health) and our Trustee Sara-Jane Elika announced a new funding pathway for the Pacific Disability community in Tāmaki Makaurau and Te Tai Tokerau.

Through a new partnership, Foundation North will devolve funding to Le Va, a Pacific-for-Pacific organisation, who will use their strong relationships within the Pacific Disability community to administer, approve and allocate grants to support community innovation and enhanced access by and for Pacific people living with disability.

Le Va, named in honour of the sacred space in which relationships unfold, works alongside Pasifika communities, assisting them to flourish, making them a great partner for us to strengthen our reach to Pacific people living with disability.
