High Tech Youth Network helps underserved communities increase their digital knowledge. Their programme in Otara was initially funded under Foundation North’s Maori and Pacific Education Initiative.
Free after school sessions offered children a chance to learn about electronic publishing, photoshop, animation and 3D graphic design. The programme was such a success that seven studios have now opened around New Zealand as well as in Fiji and Hawaii.
