CoJam: Co-designing ‘belonging’ in our multi-cultural nation

14 January 2020   /   News & reports

Next month Foundation North is collaborating on a new initiative to support the rise of ethnic diversity in Auckland and the consequent need to support young people exploring new multi-identities.

Foundation North is joining forces with AUT, Auckland Co-Design Lab and young people from former refugee and resettlement communities, to present “Co-Jam”: a two-day “jam” where participants will come together to connect, co-create ideas, and co-imagine solutions for a more inclusive and diverse Aotearoa, New Zealand.

The event is set to take place at AUT University on 22-23 February 2020 and will bring together a community of changemakers, passionate about making a difference for and with young people. Over the two days, participants will learn creative problem-solving skills, bounce around insights and ideas, and build prototypes and plans with the intent to create a starting point for action and social impact.

Participation is free, and a limited number of spots are open to people aged 18-24 years old who are keen to help young people navigate their way and thrive in our super-diverse world!
